We do not run these tests ourselves. Independent figures are quoted from the source named in each row.

The lubluelu SL68 Plus is a $185.99 LiDAR robot vacuum with a bag station, and it earns a 6.1 of 10 because almost everything about it is a brand claim. It is the only lubluelu robot vacuum with an in-stock US plug on lubluelu.com as of Oct 23, 2026. Buy it if you want mapping and self-emptying for under $190 and you accept thin service. Skip it if you need independent test data or a company that answers claims quickly.

The picks on this site come from published specs, certification databases, the CPSC recall list and named third-party measurements, not from a lab of our own. Here that matters: no independent lab we could find has published a measurement of any lubluelu robot vacuum. How we score explains the method.

Design and setup: what do the manual and brand page describe?

Setup is described here only from the lubluelu SL68 manual on ManualsLib and the brand product page, because we have not set one up ourselves. The manual says to put the dock on a flat surface against a wall with more than 0.5 m free on each side and more than 1.5 m in front, then press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. You pair it in the Smart Life app, and the manual states it works only on a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band, not 5 GHz.

  • Navigation: the brand page lists LDS 9.0 LiDAR with an 8 m range, 5 saved maps, up to 14 no-go zones and 20 virtual walls.
  • Suction: 4,500 Pa is the brand’s maximum figure. Pascal ratings are not comparable across brands without a lab test.
  • Station: the spec table says 2.5 L, but the description on the same page calls it a 350 ml station. The brand does not explain the gap. It claims up to 60 days between bag changes.
  • Onboard: 260 ml dustbin, 240 ml water tank, up to 130 minutes of runtime, 4 x 2,600 mAh battery, 4 to 5 hours to charge, climbs 20 mm.
  • Mopping: three water levels. The manual says never to use the mop on carpet and to set a restricted zone around rugs.

The brand rates noise at 62 dB(A) or less. No independent figure exists.

How does the SL68 Plus score?

It scores 6.1 of 10 because the hardware list is good for the price and the evidence behind it is weak. Weights: cleaning 30, navigation 25, 3-year cost 20, dock and maintenance 15, app 10.

  • Cleaning (6.0): an owner on ProductReview.com.au with a plain SL68 describes it as decent on tile but says the mop leaves too much water and streaks. Another owner there praises the cat hair pickup on mixed carpet and floorboards. Two reviews are a tiny sample, and no lab number exists.
  • Navigation (6.0): LiDAR gives mapping and zone control. The spec table lists anti-fall and anti-collision sensors but no camera object recognition, so loose cables and socks are on you. One SL68 owner says it often gets lost or enters a no-go zone.
  • Dock and maintenance (6.0): the bag station saves daily bin emptying. Against that, the D3 bag, side brushes, mop cloths and HEPA filters for this model all showed US as sold out on lubluelu.com on Oct 23.
  • App (6.0): Smart Life handles zones, schedules, Alexa and Google Assistant. Wi-Fi drops are the most repeated owner complaint for lubluelu models.
  • 3-year cost (6.5): low bag and filter prices, offset by the stock problem.

The Practical Math: what does it cost over 3 years?

The 3-year cost is about $349.41, using only parts with a published price and a documented interval. All prices were read on lubluelu.com on Oct 23, 2026.

Item Basis 3-year cost
SL68 Plus, US plug $185.99 (marked down from $239.99) $185.99
D3 dust bags 4-pack $20.99, one bag per 60 days (brand maximum), 18 bags $94.46
HEPA filters 2-pack $14.99, replace every 6 months (manual says 3 to 6), 6 filters $44.97
Side brushes 4-pack $15.99, replace every 6 months (manual says 3 to 6), 6 brushes $23.99

Real bag use will likely be faster than 60 days in a home with pets. If you replace filters and brushes every 3 months, the filter line doubles to $89.94 and the brush line to $47.98. Mop cloths ($15.99 for 4) and the roller brush ($16.99) are left out because the brand publishes no replacement interval. A replacement battery is $35.99 and is the only part listed in stock for US. The brand does not publish wattage, so electricity is not counted.

What do owners and the record say?

The brand’s service reputation is the main risk, not the robot. Lubluelu.com showed 1.8 of 5 from 94 Trustpilot reviews on Oct 23, 2026, as read in our lubluelu brand guide. The warranty is 24 months on the body and dock, 12 months on the battery, and none on consumables, and it applies to purchases from lubluelu.com. The CPSC recall database returned no results for robot vacuum, robotic vacuum or lubluelu as manufacturer on Oct 23.

Alternatives

  • Roborock Q10 S5+: $329.99 on Roborock’s US store on Oct 23, with a 10,000 Pa claim and PreciSense LiDAR and Reactive Tech obstacle avoidance from the brand’s page. It costs $144 more.

Who should skip it

Skip it if you have thick rugs you want mopped around without hand-set zones, if you want a robot that spots cables, or if you rely on Amazon-style returns. Skip it too if you cannot wait on email support: the contact is contact@lubluelu.com with Central European hours. For a wider shortlist, read the best robot vacuums.

FAQ

Why review the SL68 Plus and not the SL60 Plus?

All four plug variants of the SL60 Plus showed sold out on lubluelu.com on Oct 23, 2026, while the SL68 Plus US plug was in stock.

Does the SL68 Plus avoid cables and socks?

The brand lists anti-collision sensors and LiDAR but no camera object recognition, so pick up cables first, as the manual advises.

Can I use it on carpet?

It vacuums carpet, but the manual says not to run the mop on carpet and to set a restricted zone around it.

Is the 2.5 L station real?

The spec table says 2.5 L and the D3 bag page says each bag holds 2.5 L, while one paragraph says 350 ml. The brand has not reconciled this.

Is the price a permanent price?

The page shows $185.99 against a $239.99 list, during a site-wide Halloween sale banner on the manuals page, so check again before buying.

What owners report

4.0 of 5 (plain SL68, ProductReview.com.au) from 2 ratings on ProductReview.com.au (plain SL68; the SL68 Plus has no listing yet) read Oct 23, 2026

Ratings shown on a seller's own page can leave out reviews the seller removed. We read the most recent reviews ourselves and summarize what repeats.

  • −A repeated complaint across lubluelu models is slow or missing support and Wi-Fi or app connection trouble. The two SL68 reviews on ProductReview.com.au are too few to count themes, so this comes from the brand-level Trustpilot page and the Reddit thread.
  • −The SL68 owner on ProductReview.com.au says the mop leaves too much water and streaks, and that battery life is below average.
  • +Owners praise the price, the LiDAR map and the app, and one reports daily cat-hair pickup on mixed carpet and floorboards.

The unit works fine but often gets lost or encroaches the no go zone.

The specs that matter, in plain English

LDS LiDAR
A spinning laser distance sensor that maps rooms. It does not recognize objects like cables or socks.
Pa (Pascal)
The unit brands use for suction. Figures are claims and are not comparable across brands without a lab test.
Auto-empty station
A dock that pulls dust from the robot bin into a sealed bag, so you change bags instead of emptying the bin.
No-go zone
An area you draw in the app that the robot will not enter, such as a rug you do not want mopped.
